Welcome to my Blog!

My name is Chistie and I am a mother, wife, cook, taxi driver, referee, housekeeper,ect... to my family. I started this blog to share my newly found creative side. I recently began to going to garage sales, thrift stores and craigslist, and I am turning my finds into beautiful things for the home. Most of my projects have been turning furniture into the shabby chic look, hence my blog name. My husband has a talent for building furniture and has started to try and make time to build more. We have decided to put some of our work out there and see where it may take us. My post will be about juggling my everyday life with trying to start a new adventure. I will share stories, tips, DIY projects, tutorials and more. I hope to show you that if I can make it happen and survive, anyone can :). I hope I can inspire those of you thinking about trying to add even more to your already busy lives, that you can do it too. Wish me luck!
